Paperself.

Well I did not expect to ever find fake eye lashes made from paper in the shape of horses and flowers. But I have so I thought I should let you know. It really is amazing. I love the intricate detail they have, I am so getting some when I have any money.

Paperself explores the use of paper in innovative ways and how this can translate into product design. There are some interesting designs on there. Paperself have delivered a whole new way of thinking in terms of the way we live and how we look at product design. Its very much now becoming an eco-friendly substitute for furniture, homewares and many more.

I too am falling in love with paper products, I think this is an awesome idea.

Here are a few pictures of the eyelashes.

Blandine Bardeau

I was having a little browse on the internet again when I came across the amazing work of Blandine Bardeau. Truly beautiful, quirky and Fluorescent and funnily enough her new jewellery collection is called 'Fluorescent Monkeys'. French born fashion, jewellery designer and illustrator.

I don't think anyone could walk past one her pieces and not be inspired or curious about it. Not to mention be attracted to the bright colours. I love how playful it is and it is really making me inspired to go a little crazy.

Blandine Bardeau only graduated last year but has made a massive impact already. Im sure there will be more to come.
Check out her website her: www.blandinebardeau.com She also has a blog too: www.blandinebardeau.blogspot.com

Cracks

Another new blog, today i'm looking at the stylish, sexy film cracks. Released 2009 this film set in the 1930s in an english girls boarding school on a remote island.

It sees a beautiful young spanish girl sent over in mysterious circumstances shake up the dynamics of a close group of friends and how a relationship between teacher and student is not all it seems.

Directed by Ridley Scott's daughter Jordan Scott you know this is going to be good.

Before I saw this I actually used the pictures from the film as inspiration for my new jewellery collection. The beautiful necklaces and styling really attracted me. I saw it somewhere and had to watch it.

I'm really into red lips and headscarves after seeing that plus the costume is outstanding I would love to have been able to wear them.

Here are some of my favourite pictures I found.

Its been a while but I finally did it!

Somewhere up a mountain in Kasmir.
The cutest kid in Kasmir.
A very big buddha
Locals
Small rocky roads through the mountains scary stuff.
Crazy Indian trucks
Prayer wheel in the tibetan area of Kasmir.
The lake in srinagar.
Beautiful magpie in Kasmir.

This is my first blog for a very long time, well about a year. But it has been an exciting year for me. I travelled to India for a work placement for four months and met the most friendly, happy people. I worked with them and had alot of fun. These people are in fact the workers at the textile company I worked at in Delhi for four months.

It was definitely hard work and it opened my eyes up to the rest of the world. I hadn't been away to a country where the culture is totally different. The sights were amazing when we eventually had time to explore. I saw the Taj Mahal with my mum which was beautiful. Anyway Here are a few snaps I took so have a look. All of these at the moment are of Kashmir but will put some photos of India they are somewhere on my computer.

I myself have now recently become a jewellery designer and am selling on a fantastic online boutique which showcases new designers. Not only jewellery but also fashion accessories, gorgeous clothing ranges and more. So do take a look. www.bengtfashion.com

Not only will I be making jewellery but will be focusing on printing and Illustration so look out for those. 2010 is going to be a very creative year for me... Can't wait.
